Delete your DistrictIQ account
Last updated September 2026
You can delete your DistrictIQ account, and the personal information linked to it, at any time — in the DistrictIQ app, on districtiq.ca, or by email. DistrictIQ and the DistrictIQ app are operated by DistrictIQ Inc., Brokerage.
In the DistrictIQ app
Open the app and go to Account → Delete account, then confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on that device.
On the website
Sign in at districtiq.ca and go to Account → Settings, then choose Delete my account and confirm.
Without signing in
Email info@districtiq.ca from the address you use for DistrictIQ, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm the request comes from the account holder, delete the account, and let you know when it is done. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
Your account and sign-in details (email address, name, phone number if you added one, and password); your saved homes; your saved searches and email alerts, including their send history; your notification settings and the devices registered for app notifications; and your registration and terms acceptance for sold and leased listing data.
What we keep, and why
Records of access to sold and leased listing data. Our agreement with the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) and PropTx requires an audit log of that access. These records are deleted automatically after 18 months.
Records of marketing consent. Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires us to be able to show when you gave, or withdrew, consent to marketing email.
Enquiries you sent to our brokerage, for example about a listing. They are business records and are not part of your account. You can ask us to delete them, and we will unless the law requires us to keep them.
Backups. Deleted information can remain in our hosting provider's backups for a limited period, until those backups expire.
Information stored only on your device
Homes you save or view in the app without signing in are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account — use one of the options above.
