One city, many markets

A city has one median asking price and hundreds of school attendance boundaries. Measured inside the board-published boundaries, the gap between a city's cheapest and dearest catchment markets runs from just over 1× in the smallest markets we track to nearly 13× in Toronto. The six widest spans are written up below; all 37 markets that met the test are named in the method note.

The high school usually owns the neighbourhood name

We found ten Ontario neighbourhoods where an elementary and a secondary school share the neighbourhood's name. In nine, the secondary school serves more of the neighbourhood — often far more. Six are written up below; the other four are named in the method note.
