Blank (—) means no EQAO result was published for that assessment in 2024–2025; those schools are listed but not scored. Composite = average of the school’s published results. Homes for sale counts active MLS® listings zoned for each school’s regular-track boundary; median asking price is the median list price of those homes — asking prices, not sold prices (as of 2026-10-03). A blank median means fewer than five priced listings.

How to read this comparison

The EQAO composite is the average of a school’s published EQAO results — the percentage of students meeting the provincial standard across the assessments written at that school (Grade 3 and Grade 6 reading, writing and mathematics for elementary; Grade 9 mathematics and the OSSLT for secondary). It is a factual summary of one year of testing, not a ranking or a judgment of school quality.

The vs city figure compares a school only against other same-panel schools (elementary vs elementary), so a Grade 6 result is never weighed against a Grade 9 one. The city average is taken across English-language schools: EQAO reports French-language schools separately, so they are listed with their results but no vs city figure. Schools with no published EQAO result for 2024–2025 are shown but left unscored — a blank, never a zero.

EQAO measures a narrow slice of what a school does. It says nothing about programs, arts, athletics, French immersion, class size, or the fit for a particular child, and results move year to year. Use it as one input alongside a school visit and the board’s own information.

Looking for the “best” school in East Gwillimbury? No single number answers that, and this page doesn’t pretend one does — sites that rank schools with a score out of ten are weighting test results by formulas they choose. What this page gives you instead is the underlying data those scores are built from, sortable yourself, next to the one thing rankings never show: which homes are actually inside each school’s attendance boundary right now, and what they’re asking.

Homes for sale & median asking count active MLS® listings zoned for each school’s board-published regular-track boundary — the same boundary the board uses for enrolment, resolved per listing, not by distance. The median is an asking price — list prices of homes on the market today, never sold prices — and is only published for schools with at least 5 priced listings; below that the cell stays blank rather than reporting a misleading figure. These numbers refresh with the listing feed, so they describe the market as of the date shown, not the date you read this.

School and assessment data is sourced from the Ontario Ministry of Education, the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO), Ontario Open Data, and the applicable public and Catholic district school boards across the regions we cover (Southern Ontario).

School information — including school boundaries, eligibility, EQAO results, programs and enrolment — is provided for general informational purposes only and may be inaccurate or out of date. Boundaries, eligibility, programs and enrolment can change at any time. EQAO figures reflect past assessment results, are shown per test relative to the city-wide average, are not a ranking, and do not predict any student's outcome.
