About Bronte Creek, Oakville
Bronte Creek is a newer residential community in west Oakville, north of the QEW between Bronte Road and the Bronte Creek valley, where the town meets the Burlington boundary. The protected valley lands of Bronte Creek Provincial Park run along its western side, giving the community a permanent green edge.
Most of the community was built between the early 2000s and the early 2010s, partly on the site of a former golf course, and its street plan retains ponds, mature trees and rolling valley terrain from that earlier landscape. Housing is a mix of larger detached homes and townhomes, including bungaloft designs, arranged on winding streets threaded with parkettes and stormwater ponds.
Within the community, Valleyridge Park provides a soccer field, playground and splash pad, complemented by smaller parkettes and connecting walkways. Next door, Bronte Creek Provincial Park operates year-round with hiking trails through the creek ravine, a children's farm, the historic Spruce Lane farmhouse and seasonal programming such as the spring maple syrup festival.
Commercial services are available along Bronte Road and the Burloak Drive corridor, with additional shopping along Dundas Street West near Palermo. QEW interchanges at Bronte Road and Burloak Drive connect the community to the wider highway network and the Lakeshore West GO corridor to the south.
Not to be confused with Bronte, a separate Oakville community with its own page.

Is Bronte Creek the same as its school?
No — three things share the Bronte Creek name and it’s worth keeping them separate. The Bronte Creek community is the MLS® neighbourhood (how listings are grouped), while a same-named school has its own attendance boundary.
A school’s catchment can include homes outside the MLS community — and not every home in Bronte Creek is necessarily assigned to the same school. Because boundaries are drawn by the school board, the only reliable way to know a home’s school is to check the specific address.
