About Bronte, Oakville
Bronte sits at the southwest corner of Oakville along the Lake Ontario shoreline, centred on Bronte Harbour and the village around Lakeshore Road West and Bronte Road. The area includes a working marina, waterfront parks such as Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park and Bronte Beach Park, and a concentration of shops and restaurants near the harbour.
Bronte Creek reaches the lake at the community's western edge, and the Waterfront Trail passes through the area. Housing ranges from older detached homes and post-war bungalows on the inland streets to mid-rise condominium buildings built near the waterfront in recent decades, with the newer Lakeshore Woods subdivision at the community's west end.
Bronte Road runs north from the village to its interchange with the QEW, connecting the community to the wider highway network, and the Lakeshore West GO corridor runs east–west through the north of the area at Bronte GO.
Not to be confused with Bronte Creek, a separate Oakville community with its own page.

Is Bronte the same as its school?
No — three things share the Bronte name and it’s worth keeping them separate. The Bronte community is the MLS® neighbourhood (how listings are grouped), while a same-named school has its own attendance boundary.
A school’s catchment can include homes outside the MLS community — and not every home in Bronte is necessarily assigned to the same school. Because boundaries are drawn by the school board, the only reliable way to know a home’s school is to check the specific address.

Listing data is provided by the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) and PropTx under the Internet Data Exchange (IDX) program. The information is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed accurate by TRREB, PropTx, CREA or DistrictIQ Inc., Brokerage, may not reflect the most current status, and is subject to errors, omissions, prior sale, change, or withdrawal without notice. Listings should be independently verified.
Neighbourhood statistics (median price, inventory, property mix, days on market and descriptors) are aggregated by DistrictIQ from active TRREB / PropTx MLS® listings at the time shown. They reflect list-price activity, not sold data, are not an appraisal, opinion of value, or guarantee of market conditions, and change as listings change. Community boundaries are approximate.
